WHY DANCE DOWN THE AISLE?
A wedding ceremony dance is a brilliant way to replace the traditional walk with something special and unusual, whilst creating a atmosphere of joy and festivity. It's especially good for brides who would otherwise be walking unattended or for second time round weddings, as it is so different. It's also great for couples who have children as it really makes them feel included in the the big day.
WHO CAN DANCE DOWN THE AISLE?
There are no rules to dancing down the aisle, the bride could dance to her groom or he could dance too. Other dancers could be children, flower girls, bridesmaids, best lady, maid of honour, page boys, best man, grooms men, ushers, friends and family.
Our bride, Lin Clements, wanted to surprise her groom and unite two families in becoming one, with a wedding entrance dance. She booked a dance lesson for her best woman, her children and her step children. She said "they had great fun learning and performing the routine and it made them feel part of our special day".
The etiquette of dancing down the aisle in wedding ceremonies
"It is essential to remember the sentiment of walking down the aisle, so all ideas should be run past the person conducting the marriage, in case they deem it or your music choice inappropriate."
