DETAILS OF DANCE LESSONS

Where are dance lessons held?
For your convenience dance lessons take place in the comfort of your own home which offers a safe and friendly atmosphere without distractions, it also saves you travel time in the busy and hectic lead up to your wedding day.

How much space do we need?
You don't need a lot of space (as brides can't move very fast, thus far, in their long wedding dress!) and usually couples push back their furniture to maximise their space. If you imagine that you both stand apart with your arms out to the side, both turn on the spot, as long as you don't bump into each other or anything else, this is the minimum amount of space we can work with.

What if we haven’t got enough space at home?
Dance lessons can be in any suitable space, so places such as friend or family member’s home, gym studio, sports centre, village hall, function room, community centre or workspace.

What if I don’t have room at home, but I don’t have time to organise another location?
We understand that the lead up to your wedding day can be a very busy time, so if you don’t have time to organise a dance space we can do that for you. The admin fee is £30 and this is in addition to the space hire fee itself.

When are dance lessons?
Lessons are arranged to suit your schedule and can be at the weekend, in the evening or during the daytime depending on what's best for you. Lessons don’t have to be all on a particular day, its fine to mix it up to fit around your other commitments.

Do you cover my area?
Yes, we cover the entire UK

What should we wear in lessons?
Anything comfortable that allows movement is perfect. It is a really good idea to wear shoes similar to the shoes you intend to wear on your wedding day for practise. However, we would advise you don’t wear your actual wedding shoes in case they get scuffed or marked as you learn to dance together, it would be such a shame to get your shoes dirty before the big day!

We can’t dance, we both have two left feet and we are nervous and not very confident, help!
No problem! You fit into the same category of 99% of all our customers and we teach 100s each and every year, all who end up dancing with confidence and style (see our Testimonials page for proof!)
Our choreographers are very experienced at working with complete beginners who have never danced before and they have tons of patience. They will work at your pace and the result will be a dance that suits your song, natural ability and style, so it’s not too difficult for you and it suits you perfectly. We understand how important it is that you look your best on your wedding day which is why each couples dance is bespoke to them, as not all dance moves suit all people.

TIMELINES

How far before our wedding day should we start our first dance lessons?
There are two guides here, the earlier you take your lessons the more time there is to practise, but the nearer you take them the less time there is to forget!
As a general rule we would advise 6-8 weeks in advance, however, if don’t have that much time left we will do our best to make the arrangements for you. Whilst we mostly hear from couples with months to go before their wedding day we once arranged lessons for a couple with 3 days to go!
If your wedding day is sometime away but you’d like get your lessons sorted to get them off your to do list, get in touch and we’ll contact you nearer the time.
